Who we are
The Sales Lab is a private revenue consulting firm operated by Nazarinia Business Ventures Inc., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who sees it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. It covers www.thesaleslab.com and the work we do with clients. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act.
What we collect
The Revenue Diagnostic: your name, work email address, phone number, your company’s name and details, revenue and employee figures, and your answers to the assessment questions, which describe your company’s finances and operations.
The contact form: your name, email address, and message.
The newsletter: your email address when you subscribe. Our email delivery provider stores the subscriber list and records whether messages are opened and which links are clicked.
Client engagements: documents and information your company provides during an assessment or implementation, which may include financial statements, plans, and interview notes. For paying clients, invoicing and payment details are handled through our payment and accounting providers.
Correspondence: what you send us by email or tell us by phone.
We collect information directly from you. Our website uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site; these tools set cookies and record usage data such as pages visited, device type, and approximate location. You can block or clear cookies in your browser and the site keeps working. Our web host also automatically logs technical data such as IP address and browser type on every visit.
Why we collect it
We use your information to prepare your diagnostic report, to contact you about your submission and your results, to deliver the engagements your company hires us for, to send the newsletter you subscribed to, and to keep the records the law requires. We collect nothing beyond what those purposes need. If we ever want to use your information for a new purpose, we will ask you first.
Consent
You give us consent when you submit the diagnostic, send the contact form, subscribe to the newsletter, or engage us. You can withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits, by writing to the privacy officer below. Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link. Withdrawing consent may mean we cannot finish preparing a report or delivering a service that depends on the information.
Who sees your information
Reza Nazarinia and the executive team see your diagnostic answers to prepare and review your report. Service providers see only what they need to run our operations: the company that hosts our website, the providers that deliver our email, and, for clients, the encrypted channels through which engagement documents are exchanged. They act on our instructions and must protect your information. We never sell personal information. We never disclose your information to your competitors. Beyond that, we disclose personal information without consent only where the law requires or permits it, such as a court order.
Where your information is stored
We serve clients in Canada and the United States, and your information may be stored or processed in either country. While your information is in another jurisdiction, the laws of that jurisdiction apply to it, and its courts and authorities may be able to compel disclosure. We apply the same safeguards wherever it sits.
How we protect it
We use safeguards proportionate to the sensitivity of the information: encrypted transmission, one separate file per client, and access limited to the people who need it. No safeguard is perfect, so we also limit how much we collect and how long we keep it.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information as long as the purposes above require and as long as the law requires. Information we used to make a decision about you is kept long enough for you to ask to see it. When information is no longer needed, we destroy it or strip it of anything that identifies you.
Your rights: access and correction
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, how we use it, and who we have disclosed it to, and you can ask us to correct it. Write to the privacy officer below. We respond within 30 days, we may ask you to verify your identity first, and we will tell you in advance if a request involves any cost; most requests cost nothing. If the law requires us to refuse part of a request, we will explain why and tell you what recourse you have. Wherever you live, you can write to the privacy officer about the information we hold and we will respond.
If something goes wrong
If a breach of our safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and report it to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as PIPEDA requires. We keep records of all breaches.

Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change expands how we use personal information already collected, we ask for fresh consent first.
